Newsome Community Forum is completely volunteer run. We help residents, community groups and local workers share information, understand local needs and support one another.
The Forum began in 1997. It creates a regular, welcoming place for people to hear what is happening across the area, make useful connections and explore practical ways to help.
Our role is not to replace local groups. It is to help good work become more visible and make it easier for people and organisations to work together.
Our objectives
- Promote the health and wellbeing of people in our neighbourhoods.
- Enhance the local social and economic environment.
- Encourage every part of the community to take part in local development.
- Share reliable information about activities, services and opportunities.
- Record achievements and community history that might otherwise be lost.
