The website is designed to be clear, keyboard-friendly and usable on phones, tablets and larger screens.
About this statement
This statement covers the Newsome Community Forum website, its document web versions and the volunteer editor. Newsome Community Forum runs the website with technical support from F12 Consult.
Our accessibility target
We design and test this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Pages use semantic headings, visible keyboard focus, descriptive links, text alternatives for meaningful images and layouts that reflow at high zoom.
Our assessment is still in progress. We have identified limitations in the original PDFs, described below, and have not yet completed hands-on screen-reader testing. We are not claiming full WCAG 2.2 AA compliance or independent certification.
How we test
Our internal engineering assessment combines source-code review with automated browser tests of public pages, document web versions, the sign-in screen and local volunteer editor workflows. Checks include keyboard focus, form errors, text spacing and layouts at 320 CSS pixels. Automated tools cannot test every WCAG requirement.
The assessment was carried out on the replacement website before its main domain is connected. We will check the website again after that change. Hands-on screen-reader testing and browser zoom checks remain part of the final review.
Documents
All seven documents published at the time of this review have web versions with headings, lists and adjustable text. Use these versions if the original PDF is difficult to read. The original PDFs have known heading and reading-structure limitations and have not been certified as fully accessible.
When a document changes, its web version also needs to be reviewed and updated. Please contact us if you need another format or find a difference between the versions.

You can tell a volunteer at an open Forum meeting or use the established Newsome Facebook group. Include the page address, what you were trying to do and the format you need. If possible, tell us which browser or assistive technology you use.
